Good to know
- Residents buying a first home can typically borrow up to 80% of the price for homes up to AED 5 million; limits are lower for higher-value homes, second homes and non-residents.
- Banks usually need a passport, visa and Emirates ID (if resident), salary certificate or proof of income, and recent bank statements.
- Budget for the Dubai Land Department transfer fee, mortgage registration fee and bank fees on top of the down payment.
